This position involves a combination of patient care, administrative tasks, and direct assistance during dental procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Ensure patient comfort and readiness for procedures.
- Prepare the work area and assist with patient care during treatments.
- Administrative Duties:
- Answer phone calls and manage appointment scheduling.
- Maintain accurate patient records and files.
- Assisting the Dentist:
- Handle dental instruments and materials efficiently.
- Take X-rays and prepare instruments for procedures.
- Provide suctioning and other assistance during dental treatments.
- Back-Office Duties:
- Assist with the sterilization of operatories and instruments.
- Scanning patient’s mouth for fixed and removable prosthetics.
- Ensure operatories are clean and ready for the next patient.
- Work in a clinical environment, interacting with patients and the dental team.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and hygienic workplace.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred.
- Certified with Radiation Safety Exposure, CPR (BLS), and Infection Control (IFC8)
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in taking X-rays and handling dental instruments.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
