The Manager of Sterling Relationship Development leads a team focused on building strong relationships and driving growth within Granite’s Sterling Accounts—customers with an MRC under $3,500 but high potential for expansion. This role is responsible for analyzing account performance, identifying barriers to growth, and implementing strategies to enhance customer engagement and revenue. The manager will coach and support their team in developing Sterling Accounts into long-term, high-value customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Relationship Development Associates – Sterling, ensuring they effectively manage and grow their accounts.
  • Identify barriers to account growth, such as service limitations, pricing concerns, or customer engagement issues, and implement targeted solutions.
  • Develop and execute customer engagement strategies to increase account retention and revenue expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success) to create tailored solutions for Sterling Accounts.
  • Establish and track key performance metrics (KPIs), ensuring the team meets and exceeds growth targets.
  • Conduct pipeline reviews and customer strategy sessions to assess opportunities and challenges.
  • Ensure Salesforce and other sales tools are used effectively to track performance and account development.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on optimizing the Sterling Account strategy.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales leadership, account management, or business development.
  • Strong ability to analyze account performance and implement growth strategies.
  • Proven track record of coaching and developing sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of customer relationship management and sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
