Job Description:

The Sales Analyst will play a key role in supporting the GPS division by delivering financial insights through modeling, forecasting, and pricing analysis to aid in decision-making and planning. This position is responsible for analyzing financial data, developing operational and financial forecasts, evaluating pricing strategies, and providing recommendations to optimize profitability and efficiency. The Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support key initiatives, ensuring financial objectives align with divisional and organizational goals. This role is ideal for an entry-level professional with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a foundational understanding of financial analysis and business operations.

Essential Duties:

  • Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Update and manage quarterly price books and equipment pricing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with pricing strategies and margin analysis for products and services.
  • Analyze sales trends, customer data, and operational metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support leadership with operational models that optimize resource allocation and align with goals.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance and performance analysis.
  • Develop dashboards to track KPIs and provide actionable insights.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare presentations and reports summarizing key financial and operational insights.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in finance, business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree (MBA or MS in finance) or additional certifications such as CFA Level I.

Required:

Experience:

  • 0-3 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.

Preferred:

  • Experience with financial modeling, pricing analysis, or operational forecasting in a sales or service organization.
  • Honorably discharged service veterans are preferred.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong team player with adaptability to fast-paced and ambiguous work settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights effectively.
  • Possess a positive and energetic self-starter attitude, with excellent drive, ambition, and work ethic.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments and a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and highly detail-oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills with a foundation in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Will be required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • Willing to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends as required.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Willing to consent to and pass a background check and drug screening.
