Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Sr. Business Systems Analyst. This role will report to a Senior Manager of Value-Based Care Programs and work closely with the Operations, Data Analytics, and Market teams, focusing primarily on Medicare Advantage programs and data to help drive Astrana Health's operations forward so we can continue to scale in the healthcare industry. We are looking for someone with deep expertise in Medicare Advantage programs, claims processing, and CMS data.

What You'll Do


  • Work across departments representing the Value-Based Programs team to execute projects pertaining to Medicare Advantage programs

  • Filing, receiving downloading, processing, and delivering Medicare Advantage data to payors, providers, and internal teams

  • Serve as the main point of contact for digesting Medicare Advantage data, including claims, beneficiary data, payor reports, eligibility, care delivery reporting, care gaps, and any other information from CMS

  • Handle time sensitive and strategic operational improvement initiatives with internal and external stakeholders, such as building, optimizing, and maintaining documentation infrastructure, improving data transfer pipelines, and drafting executive and external stakeholder communications

  • Lead efforts in project coordination, event / meeting scheduling and planning, and workflow organization at a rapid pace across all departmental lanes

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in standing up new initiatives, project management, data processing and analysis, and presentation building simultaneously across multiple projects

  • Attend internal and external calls as a representative of the Value-Based Programs Team and Astrana Health. Record and summarize key takeaways and action items and advance project timelines

  • Additional tasks and responsibilities as required




Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • Deep understanding of Medicare Advantage programs and CMS data

  • Incredible attention to detail (top 1%) and strong reasoning skills (ability to surface critical unaddressed questions, notice gaps, and keep multiple complex workstreams clearly organized)

  • 1+ years' experience in data management, operations, or related fields

  • Ability to independently pursue and develop solutions to complex problems

  • Strong communication skills

  • High level of accountability & drive for excellence

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Prioritization skills

  • A passion for improving the healthcare industry


You're great for this role if you have:

  • Data analytics experience in value-based care

  • Experience working on multiple complex projects end-to-end

  • Previous work in Medicare Advantage data analysis or claim file processing

  • Statistics or programming expertise

  • Prior work in VBC, MA, and/or ACO programs





Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions


  • This is a remote position. The home office is aligned at 1668 S. Garfield Avenue, Alhambra CA 91801.

  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is between $105,000 - $115,000 per hour. This pay range represents our national target range for this role. Total compensation will be evaluated based on experience, certifications, and skillsets.
