What You’ll Be Doing

To be a strategic partner for manufacturing site, supporting associates and managers by ensuring growth and development. Implement programs to contribute to the business success, empowering our people by developing leaders and associates, inspiring and creating a great place to work.

The HR Manager will have a direct impact on our Operations group, responsible for:

  • Evaluate site needs and define strategies to improve culture and work environment
  • Implement and update HR metrics to define actions to improve
  • Evaluate reasons of turnover and define actions to mitigate recurrences
  • Evaluate compensation and define actions to be competitive in the market
  • Ensure competitive benefits offered to associates
  • Provide support to managers and associates regarding processes, benefits, employee issues, performance, development, etc
  • Ensure onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Define talent management plan to drive organizational growth
  • Implement and execute IC reviews and plans to identify high talent, key roles and skills to develop associates
  • Train managers and ensure correct execution of performance management
  • Train and coach managers and associates on HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, development, performance, compensation, recognition)
  • Execute skip level sessions
  • Complete Ethics & GIS investigations
  • Lead recruitment and selection process by hiring skilled and potential candidates
  • Ensure Occupational & Health assessments and work with EHS to define actions to mitigate risks
  • Be involved in safety incidents partnering with other areas and ensure appropriate support and follow up with associates
  • Provide support and follow up to associates during absences and return to work
  • Ensure correct contracts for employees
  • Solve and document issues with associates across the site
  • Keep company policies updated and available for associates
  • Reinforce policies and behaviors to ensure strong culture based on people
  • Partnering with site leader and local managers to define actions to be the best company to work and improve results of employee survey every year
  • Being constantly updated in legal and labor matters for your country, escalate and inform about changes and ensure correct implementation
  • Ensure correct information uploaded in PeopleSoft, execute audits and ensure changes on effective date
  • Ensure performance evaluations and progress of hourly associates
  • Develop and empower team members
  • Provide support to other sites or associates located in other locations when needed

Who We’re Looking For

You will bring experience with well demonstrated success in drive culture and behaviors, open communication and teamwork

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent
  • Knowledge of applicable IL state laws are needed.
  • Prefer 2 to 3 or more years of experience in a HR Generalist or Manager position, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of HR systems such as PeopleSoft, Select HR, etc
