Responsibilities

Responsible for obtaining supplier quotes, negotiating, issuing, and managing supplier agreements. Creates and issues Purchase Orders and documents procurement requirements based on corporate policies and procedures.

Collaboration across multiple departments (compliance, finance, legal, and export) for pre and post award contract administration.

Initiates and supports supplier qualification process.

Promotes a positive and mutually beneficial relationship with suppliers.

Drives cost savings and quality improvement projects to reduce procurement costs.

Performs tasks to ensure that suppliers are compliant for export control.

Reviews purchase requisitions for accuracy and compliance.

Assists with company reporting and audits as needed.

Ensures that items purchased are tracked and delivered as needed.

Reviews contracts and statements of work for compliance with purchase requisitions and negotiates contract terms and conditions for software purchases and renewals, services contracts, and event agreements.

Performs other reasonable and related duties. The Company reserves the right to change duties at any time.

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience negotiating and managing suppliers for compliance, cost, schedule and quality.
  • Reviewing and negotiating legal/commercial terms and conditions
  • Familiar with confidentiality requirements
  • Able to multi-task with dexterity
  • Thrives in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Experience in contract review, work in a corporate legal department, or a law firm is preferred
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and adapt to rapidly changing requirements.
  • Highly motivated and detail oriented.
  • Highly organized and has sound judgment to plan and accomplish work.
  • Excellent people skills to include collaboration in a multi-disciplinary, diverse and dynamic team environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) required.
