Senior Electrician

Nova Biomedical is hiring a Sr. Electrician for our Billerica Locations (Lexington Rd.) The Sr. Electrician is responsible for ensuring electrical infrastructure is in top working order. The Sr. Electrician provides changes in infrastructure appropriately for Nova Biomedical Administration and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Relocating switches, receptables, and lighting for department moves, as requested.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues daily.
• Enhancing overall electrical infrastructure of the assigned facility.
• Conducting daily routine checks of generators and emergency lighting.
• Supporting and providing assistance to co-workers as needed.
• Collaborating with department managers for department relocations and outside vendors when necessary.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.
  
  

Qualifications/Skills

• Knowledge of Electrical MA codes.
• Practical skills, problem solving skills, improving electrical systems for increased demand.
• Ability to work carefully, methodically, and safely.
  
  

Education And Experience

• Must have a Journeyman’s license and proven experience as an electrician, including continuing education courses as to maintain journeyman’s license.
• Minimum of High School or Technical/Vocation school diploma is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Stamina to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods
• Visual acuity and color vision for identifying wiring and electrical components
• Good hand-eye coordination for intricate work
• Physical dexterity to work in confined spaces and at heights when necessary.
