Summary:
A Data Analyst is a part of a small and dynamic technology team that is bringing cutting-edge technology solutions to a fast-growing company. This position will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and within the Technology team to create and maintain insights that are delivered either through PowerBI visualizations or via custom applications that the team builds. This role must have the ability to solve problems quickly, as well as strive to understand the business reasons behind the ask, find root causes and prevent issues from recurring. The ideal candidate will not accept “that’s the way things are done” but instead work to understand the reasons why things are done and identify areas of improvement. In this role, it is important to value documenting successes and solutions, helping to track challenges and build a knowledgebase to share with the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to drive business improvements.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
- Provide training and support to team members on PowerBI and data analysis tools.
- Curiosity and a passion for continuous learning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Working knowledge of medallion architecture.
- Skills in MS Fabric and Azure Data Factory a plus.
- Knowledge of the mortgage lending industry is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in data analysis and PowerBI development.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting using PowerBI.
- Experience with Snowflake a plus.
