Overview
At FutureCare our Social Services Administrative Assistant support our Social Workers by assisting our residents and families in offering services that are applicable to aid in helping them through their crisis. Under the supervision of the Director of Social Work, the Social Services Administrative Assistant will identify needs and determine the best ways to overcome difficulties with resources made available to our residents.

Responsibilities
- Keep accurate, updated, organized records of residents within the facility
- Answer questions about benefits that are available to residents
- Discuss resource planning
- Review and submit reports regarding any problems as required
- Contact family members to schedule admissions and/or discharge planning for residents
- Interview family members or individuals to obtain a complete family history to y determine which services are appropriate and needed
- Manage Notice of Medicare Non-Coverage (NOMNC) claims as required
- High school diploma or GED, minimum required
- Takes initiative on tasks with minimal supervision, self-starter
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Software packages, including Word, Excel and database management
- Proven time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, families, and other facility staff
