Your ‘day to day’ As a Production Technician you will be part of our Production Department at Triaga Inc. a fully owned subsidiary of Philip Morris International and will report to the Production Manager. The position will be based in Wilson, NC.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous and efficient operation of the assigned technology
  • Perform technical/maintenance interventions (process settings, adjustments, fixing machine problems, planned maintenance, etc) to achieve and improve the targeted KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, cost).
  • Analyze, record and resolve technical problems, breakdown and quality issues by performing root cause analysis using the troubleshooting systems and tools (e.g. IPS, UPS, BDE)
  • Execute all activities related to machines starts/stops and blend/brand changes, preventive, planned, and reactive maintenance to ensure product integrity.
  • Comply to quality procedures concerning PMI quality program
  • Maintain the designated pieces of production equipment, machine, and surrounding area in conformance with good housekeeping procedures.
  • Apply 5S rules in daily activities
  • Analyze machine performances and equipment conditions and suggest improvements via problem solving and Lean methodology and tools (e.g. PDCA) and respecting Change Management procedure.
  • Propose ideas, participate and/or lead the implementation of solutions to improve the quality and/or efficiency of machines and products.
  • Provide all relevant information to the smooth running of production in/between teams, as well as to the support group and project managers in order to ensure optimal monitoring of the problems encountered and to share experiences and knowledge in order to continually increase competences and expertise
  • Apply all rules concerning PMI Quality, environment, health and safety. Report all situations requiring actions in order to minimize or eliminate risks exposure to personnel, company assets, and societal impacts and be in line with or ahead of any applicable Law requirements and Company standards.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S
  • 2-4 year degree or certification in applicable field
  • MUST BE local to Wilson, NC

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and crouch as needed 8/10/12 hours during a shift.
  • Must be able to bend and lift various weights up to 25lbs if needed during shift.
