The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction estimating, working with subcontractors, material costs, and project budgeting to develop precise and competitive bids. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure budget accuracy.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals and present findings to leadership.
• Track industry trends, market conditions, and material pricing to refine estimates.
• Assist in value engineering efforts to maximize project cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and project requirements.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and assist in contract negotiations as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial construction estimating (real estate development experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost structures.
• Proficiency in estimating software, such as BuilderTrend, Excel, and project management tools is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Willingness to travel for project-related work as needed.
