Job Overview
The Controller will possess strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of corporate accounting practices, and will be critical in maintaining the integrity of financial processes, managing budgets, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Duties
Manage all aspects of accounting including accounts receivable/payable, budgeting, and bookkeeping.
Prepare and present accurate financial reports.
Manage taxes.
Oversee corporate accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.
Develop and monitor budgets, providing variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Monthly forecasting.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records.
Collaborate with other departments to drive business performance.
Ensure timely completion of month-end closing processes and annual audits.
Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the reliability of financial reporting.
Requirements
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA designation is a plus but not required. Coupled with proven experience in a similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, double entry bookkeeping, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in financial report writing with the ability to convey complex information clearly, and excellent analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
