Vinyl Large Format Print Shop Technician

Location: North Bergen NJ

Experience Required: 3-5 years in large-format printing

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vinyl Large Format Print Shop Technician with 3-5 years of experience in large-format printing and production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting large-format printers, plotters, and laminators to produce high-quality vinyl graphics, banners, vehicle wraps, and signage. This role also involves occasional assistance with installations, so basic knowledge of application techniques is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain large-format digital printers, plotters, and laminators Roland experience is a plus.
• Prepare print files, ensure color accuracy, and troubleshoot printing issues.
• Handle media materials, including cutting, weeding, masking, and laminating vinyl graphics.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of materials.
• Assist in production scheduling and quality control to meet project deadlines.
• Work collaboratively with designers and installers to ensure seamless workflow.
• Occasionally assist installation teams with vehicle wraps, wall graphics, and signage applications.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with company policies.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a vinyl print production environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in large-format printing equipment, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, and RIP software (Roland DG Connect & VersaWorks, etc.).
• Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality prints with accurate color matching and clean finishing.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot print and production issues efficiently.
• Team Player: Willingness to assist installers when needed and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced production setting.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle wrap applications or sign installation.
• Knowledge of different vinyl types (cast, calendared, reflective, perforated) and their applications.
• Experience with CNC cutting or routing is a plus.
