Job Description
We are looking for a Frontend Engineer with expertise in React.js and experience integrating with Ruby on Rails backend APIs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, component-based architecture, and best practices in UI/UX development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize the frontend of the tax software platform using React.js.
- Integrate frontend components with the existing Ruby on Rails backend.
- Implement and work with third-party libraries, such as TinyMCE (rich text editor) and Scanbot (document scanning).
- Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure seamless user experience.
- Work with AWS & Kubernetes to ensure application stability and scalability.
- Participate in refactoring efforts to improve frontend performance and maintainability.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in code reviews, stand-ups, and technical discussions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in React.js development.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience integrating TinyMCE, Scanbot, and/or Ionic into web applications.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL for database interactions.
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization and UI/UX best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in financial or tax-related software.
- Knowledge of GraphQL for API interactions.
- Background in mobile-responsive UI development.
- Exposure to AI/ML integration for future system enhancements.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud and Kubernetes is preferred
- 3+ years of experience/ background working with Ruby on Rails backend APIs is preferred
