Job Summary:

The Director of Event Services is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of Orgill’s corporate event portfolio—including administrative and customer logistics elements of the annual Dealer Market, events hosted at the Orgill Concept Center, and other internal and customer-facing events. This role oversees a team of event professionals and manages all aspects of hospitality, registration, and customer experience across events.

While the Dealer Market is a cross-departmental effort, this role specifically owns the event services portion of the show—including hotel strategy, transportation logistics, registration, meeting room reservations, and onsite support services. The Director of Event Services works closely with counterparts in Retail Services, Branding & Marketing, and Technology to ensure all aspects of the event are coordinated and executed at a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Dealer Market - Event Services

  • Lead the planning and execution of customer-facing logistics and support services for Orgill’s annual Dealer Market.
  • Manage hotel block strategy, registration operations, transportation logistics, and meeting room scheduling.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with internal departments and external vendors to ensure a consistent and high-quality attendee experience.
  • Contribute to event planning timelines, staffing schedules, and communication strategies for attendees and internal teams.

Concept Center & Orgill Event Portfolio

  • Oversee the scheduling, development, and execution of all events hosted at the Orgill Concept Center—including customer tours, product showcases, training events, and executive briefings.
  • Lead the creation of new event formats and experiences aligned with Orgill’s customer engagement strategy.
  • Own key aspects of customer experience management across Orgill’s broader event portfolio, ensuring all touchpoints reflect Orgill’s values and service standards.
  • Support the planning of internal meetings, hosted gatherings, and other special events as needed.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Supervise a team of event professionals focused on logistics, registration, travel coordination, and customer support.
  • Manage vendor relationships for hospitality, registration systems, and travel-related services.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, training, and oversight for all supported events.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with:
    • Retail Services for venue operations and logistics
    • Branding & Marketing for visual design, signage, and promotional materials
    • Technology for event tech, scanning systems, and AV support
  • Ensure coordination and consistency across departments throughout the planning and execution process.

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Develop and manage event-specific budgets, including vendor contracts, invoicing, and cost controls, in collaboration with MarCom and Accounting.
  • Lead budget forecasting, ensure alignment with departmental goals, and maintain visibility into all event-related expenditures.
  • Monitor and reconcile expenses, providing regular updates and variance reports.
  • Ensure all events are executed within approved budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Track event performance metrics and identify opportunities for process and experience improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in corporate event planning or trade show logistics
  • Proven experience with hotel room block strategy and travel coordination
  • Experience leading large-scale events and managing high-touch customer logistics
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in G-Suite tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management platforms (e.g., Asana)
  • CMP certification a plus
  • Ability to travel and work extended hours during event periods
