Responsibilities

As a Content Specialist for our E-Commerce division Homeimprovementsupply.com located in Toledo, OH, the online store of Modern Builders Supply, a few of your responsibilities may include a combination of any of the following uniquely tailored to best fit your skillset:

  • Creating new products for sale on our ecommerce platform
  • Editing images for use on the websites
  • Updating our content for search engine optimization
  • Researching and responding to customers’ product questions
  • Analyzing reports to find opportunities to improve pricing and content
  • Maintaining our pricing tools and analyzing competitor pricing
  • Maintaining listings on third-party marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, and Walmart
  • Serving as a back-up to our E-Commerce customer service team when needed

Successful candidates must be work oriented, have initiative, ambition, and a desire to learn the business from the ground up.

Essential Functions Of Position

  • Research information and data collection as needed for the proper upload of new and existing products
  • Communicate with vendors for marketing materials
  • Input all required data into standard templates
  • Verify information to ensure it meets company standards
  • Optimize new and existing products
  • Utilize reporting tools for sales growth
  • Daily submittal of all completed projects to the Senior Content Specialist for review
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Software

  • Excel / Google Sheets
  • Google Docs
  • GIMP / Image editing software a plus
  • Ecommerce software such as ASP.Net Storefront a plus

Knowledge Of

  • Homeimprovementsupply.com product and category listings
  • Products and a basic knowledge of sales and customer service principles

Skilled In

  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including impeccable spelling and grammar, with an emphasis toward customer satisfaction
  • Efficient problem-solving
  • Time management with the ability to focus on multiple issues simultaneously
  • Professionalism and a willingness to learn

Ability To

  • Learn in a fast paced and friendly environment

Other Characteristics

  • Degree in Sales, Communications, Marketing or E-Commerce a plus
  • Product loading experience a plus
