Responsible for process improvement and provides technical support for an assigned area of production operations.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Ability to work independently with little to no direction and take initiative within scope of work responsibilities as well as collaborate effectively with a team
- Ability to demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills
- Demonstratable technical proficiency and creativity
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to establish policies and procedures while pursuing continuous improvement
- Demonstrated willingness to vocalize and review problems with supervisor and cross-functional team members to determine the best course of action
- Office environment with frequent work in a hot and humid production environment
- Occasional work required outside
- This position may perform activities in an environment that contains hazardous elements and requires safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines
- Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members
- All safety procedures in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with
- Position requires the ability to sit for a minimum of 6 hours per day; stand, walk, bend over, and reach above head less than an hour a day
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry 10 pounds
- Able to repetitively use hands/arms for writing and computer work
- Able to access all areas of the plant including the roof and areas above equipment
- Troubleshoot production process issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective action
- Analyze current production processes and identify potential improvements
- Lead a projectteam through the installation of a new process or equipment
- Provide in-process technical oversight which includes production support for day-to-day issues, long term needs, and start¬ up requirements
- Communicate throughout the organization with validation, Quality,Supply Chain, Sales, etc.
- Collect and analyze production data and prepare a presentation to share at department meetings
- Write and review technical reports, batch production records, SOPs, work instructions, and deviations
- Develop a deep understanding of operations, processes, and productflows
- Evaluate existing electrical/electronic equipment (i.e. motors, servo systems, frequency drives, analog devices, network communication) for improvements
- Understanding of PLCSystems {RSLogix andFactorytalk)
- Analysis of electro-mechanical systems {hydraulic, pneumatic, boiler and steam) for improvements
- Other duties as assigned
