Description

Profile: The Compliance Analyst has the responsibility for ensuring our company adheres to legal standards, customer guidelines, vendor regulations and in-house policies. They must utilize creative, problem-solving skills to work independently to interpret and disseminate the information contained in vendor compliance agreements. They are professionals of high ethical standards and work diligently to complete their duties keeping in mind the objectives of our business.

Major Duties:

  • Review and interpret customer agreements for relevant compliance, accounting and operational requirements in a timely manner.
  • Engage with sales, special orders, data analytics, product development, purchasing, and customer success teams, as well as suppliers, to convey relevant requirements and facilitate compliance activities.
  • Where appropriate, lead ad hoc meetings with sales and operations teams to address general and specific compliance-related issues.
  • Facilitate customer onboarding processes for inline and drop ship channels.
  • Manage supplier audit process, including ordering audits with third-party providers, reviewing audits and corrective action requests, communicating expectations concerning corrective action requests to factory, and ensuring audit-related documents, such as FAMA are submitted timely.
  • Complete all requested and required reporting within the expected timelines.
  • Review and investigate fines and penalties issued by customers; document erroneously issued fines and penalties, including any relevant data necessary to support a dispute; conduct root cause analysis, where appropriate, and create action plan to address root cause; identify trends and patterns in data collected over time to identify proliferating areas of concern.
  • Frequently collaborate with Accounting (A/R, A/P), Data Analytics, Customer Success, Special Orders, Product Development, Purchasing, Embroidery, Logistics (Receiving/Shipping), IT (Programming, EDI) and Sales to facilitate operational activities that support customer sales and revenue.


Requirements:

  • Prior experience in compliance (social, customs, corporate, vendor) is recommended and strongly encouraged.
  • Analytically minded individual able to see the complexities of procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to partner with cross functional internal teams and customers to solve complex problems. Effectively communicate with all levels of leadership.
  • Individual must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.


Relationships:

  • Reports directly to the Compliance Manager.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BA in law, finance, or business preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant, compliance industry specific experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams
  • Prior experience with ERP and EDI systems and programs.
