Position Overview
The Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for partnering with functional business leaders and other stakeholders on digital technology projects. This role requires a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, technical concepts, and the ability to grasp how projects and work assignments fit into the overall business strategy. This role requires a person who can work independently to accomplish the goals and objectives of the given projects. The person must have the ability to lead requirement sessions, possess strong analytical skills, have an inquisitive mind, the ability to see outside the box, as well as the skill to probe and extract details that others may not see. In this role you will work closely with business SMEs, as well as the creative team to ensure the digital user experience meets the business requirements and provides a superior experience for our customers. The outcomes of these meetings need to result in clear concise requirements that are documented for all to understand. As well as detailed acceptance criteria and business rules that might influence the end solutions. The BA is then charged with working closely with the Solution Architect and Application Development teams to ensure your business requirements are understood and implemented.
In addition to business led projects the BA’s role is to understand the current and future state business processes, as well as document business/system requirements and rules that enable the design and development of digital solutions that support automation and/or improvement of business processes. The BA will become an expert on all aspects of the enterprise applications as well as how our digital properties serve our internal and external customers.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for ensuring consistent, standardized, high-quality project deliverables relative to business analysis, system analysis, requirements elicitation and documentation, User Acceptance Test Planning, and User Acceptance Testing in accordance with best-practice processes established by the Enterprise PMO.

Salary Range (Chattanooga, TN): $80,741.12 - $107,654.83
Salary Range (Norwalk, CT): $98,683.60 - $131,578.13
Annual Bonus Potential: 10%

Responsibilities
- Work closely with business area liaison(s) or subject matter experts (SME) to scope and determine needs regarding business processes and functionality. Publish meeting minutes, generate requirements, create user stories/acceptance criteria, facilitate UAT and project closure, all in alignment with change management procedures, throughout the life of the project.
- Work closely with System Architecture team and Application Development to ensure clear understanding of the requirements and business acceptance criteria to ensure a positive project outcome.
- Work closely with other PMO staff to keep projects moving forward to meet pressing business deadlines.
- Define and create UAT scenarios using standard methodologies (e.g. use cases, flow charts, etc.); work with business partners and technical staff to assist in problem solving efforts to assure that testing is completed efficiently and timely with high quality outcomes.
- Ensure requirements are translated into superior outcomes including end-user digital experiences.
- Apply experience and fluency in front-end and back-end processes, and be able to analyze, translate, and document complex customer and business needs.
- Understand and communicate the role of the analyst to other project members and challenge the project approach where business needs may not be met.
- Utilize business experience and skills to assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up technical limitations with operational realities.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, MIS or equivalent preferred or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of proven track record as a business analyst working across the lifecycle on medium to large projects and programs of work.
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing clients/users at a senior level.
- Demonstrated strong stakeholder management capability to influence the direction and scope of new project requests.
- Strong software delivery credentials and proven experience in the software development lifecycle.
- Experience as a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner is preferred working within a digital team.
- Experience with and in supporting E-Commerce / My Account / Digital Marketing platforms.
- Experience with Agile methodology, especially the utilization of user story mapping.
- Be able to write clear and easily understandable requirements/user stories.
- Think critically and strategically and be able to deal with complex and ambiguous environments; maintain a business-wide view across a variety of projects, workstreams and time frames
- Proficient in Process Management, Requirements Management, Project Management, and Quality Assurance tools.
- Proficient with Visio and/or Lucidchart to facilitate process flows.
- Proficient in JIRA for creating user stories and clarifying requirements for the development team.
- Proficient with Excel to allow for data analysis related to project deliverables.
- Strong Relationship Management skills; strong client management skills.
- Extensive analytical, inter-personal and presentation skills.
- Dynamic individual with the ability to take on multiple initiatives with short timeframes.
- Acts as a trusted advisor.
- IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis), PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, or CSPO certification a plus.
- Adept at interacting with all levels of the organization.
