Job Title: In Office – Financial Accountant

Schedule: M-F 07:00am to 04:00pm

Job Description:

Stormberg Foods LLC is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Accounting Specialist to manage our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and company policies.
• Work closely with department managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
• Implement and maintain financial controls and best practices to optimize efficiency.
• Support the implementation and integration of an ERP system for financial management.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
• Proficiency in accounting software Sage and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and GAAP
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with other departments and managers
