Position Responsibilies And Overview

  • Experienced, professional, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve
  • Classic and craft cocktails along with exciting new beverages to our patrons.
  • The bartender will greet patrons, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.
  • To succeed as a bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality.
  • You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
  • Welcoming guests, reading, and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
  • Planning drink menus and informing guests about new beverages and specials.
  • Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses and serving beverages.
  • Checking identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age to purchase alcohol.
  • Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
  • Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions. Ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons. Balancing the cash register at the end of shift.
  • Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
  • Assist with developing new cocktail recipes.
  • Prepare all syrups, garnishes and other necessary ingredients for service.

Qualifications And Desired Skills

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years Bar experience (private club experience preferred)
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Successfully pass a drug screen
  • Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to community team
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
  • Operate Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook, community software
  • Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances
  • Neat, clean, professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community
  • Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook
