Are you a dynamic, compassionate leader with a passion for Christian service and operational excellence? The Village at Summerville, part of Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina (PCSC), is seeking an Assistant Executive Director (AED) to help lead and shape the daily operations of our vibrant Life Plan Community which includes 295 units across Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Nursing.
As the AED, you will lead and inspire a dedicated team, supervise key departments, including Environmental Services, Maintenance, Life Enrichment, Vital Living, and Security—and ensure that we provide the highest quality care and services to our residents. You will work alongside the Executive Director and help drive strategies that enhance both the resident’s experience and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead with Purpose: Uphold PCSC’s Mission, Values, and Commitment Statements, inspiring others to follow your example in every aspect of your work.
- Supervise and Support: Direct the daily operations of Environmental Services, Maintenance, Life Enrichment, Security, and Vital Living departments, while also working alongside the Culinary Department to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Inspire and Empower: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, guiding your team toward operational success and delivering excellent care for our residents.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Conduct daily campus rounds to assess efficiency and ensure alignment with the Executive Director’s strategic goals.
- Build Meaningful Relationships: Develop strong connections with residents, families, and staff, creating a culture of respect, compassion, and engagement.
- Steward Resources: Oversee budgeting, financial stewardship, and resource management, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the community.
- Strategic Leadership: Implement operational strategies that align with our mission and goals, contributing to both short-term and long-term success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- A proven leader with 3-5 years in senior living and healthcare.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams toward achieving operational goals.
- A deep commitment to resident-centered care and quality service delivery.
- Must be willing to obtain South Carolina Nursing Home Administrator’s and Community Residential Care (Assisted Living) licenses when have met criteria to test and meet the licensure requirements of the State of South Carolina.
- Intermediate computer skills
- South Carolina Driver’s License
- Thorough knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines in a long-term care environment
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field
- Progressive executive leadership skills
- Current, unencumbered South Carolina Nursing Home Administrator’s and Community Residential Care (Assisted Living) licenses or the ability to meet the licensure requirements of the State of South Carolina
