Announcement Information
This is a part-time non-eligible position limited to 1,000 hours per year.
General Summary
Under limited supervision, ensures facilities are prepared according to instructions in the rental agreement, performs setup and take down of tables, chairs, audio visual equipment, cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors, removing trash, and other tasks to ensure a comfortable guest experience. Provides a high level of customer service to ensure guests are safe and satisfied with rental experience, including overseeing guests using rental space, informing guests of park/facility rules and policies, enforcing rules and policies when needed, and addressing questions and concerns that may arise during a rental. May oversee multiple facility rentals between different indoor and outdoor rental facilities across park property. May perform general park and facilities cleaning tasks such as picking up loose litter, removing trash, cleaning park bathrooms and facilities including toilets, sinks, mirrors, walls, floors, replacing paper products, etc. and performing snow removal tasks as needed.

Required Minimum Qualifications
At the time of application, applicants must:
- Be 18 years old.
- a. Have at least six (6) months of full-time equivalent experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity preferably in a park, recreation and/or program setting; OR
- Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license.
- Must maintain a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur’s license.
- If assigned to a youth recreational program, prior to employment, candidates will be required to provide Parks & Recreation with documentation from the Michigan Department of Human Services (previously called Family Independence Agency) that they have not been named in a central registry case as the perpetrator of child abuse or child neglect. In addition, applicants being considered for hire will be asked to sign a form authorizing Parks & Recreation to request and receive a criminal history check in accordance with the privacy act of 1974.
- Child Abuse or Neglect.
- A felony involving harm or threatened harm to an individual within the 10 years immediately preceding the date of hire.
