Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to join our growing manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and finished products. This role requires a deep understanding of production planning, warehouse materials management, shipping & receiving, and contract negotiation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the materials management department, including production planning, warehouse management, shipping, receiving, and materials.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of the supply chain process, including procurement, inventory control, and distribution.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best cost, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan production schedules to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming materials and ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials management in the manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, warehouse management, shipping, receiving, materials, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and other related tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
