Job Title: Data and Systems Support Analyst
Reports To: Vice President of Finance and Operations

Nature Of Work
The Data and Systems Support Analyst is responsible for developing and/or maintaining the suite of data reports and analytics of the Alumni Association. This position will assist in fulfilling internal and external data requests and will provide support for data infrastructure applications and end users.

Education
Bachelor's degree is required in Management Information Systems or Computer Science
Experience
Three to five years of experience in information technology, specifically data analytics or database management, is preferred.
Skills
The position is in an office setting within the OSU Alumni Center. Events and activities may be held outside so there will be some outdoor exposure. Position requires availability to work nights and weekends as determined by event scheduling. Travel is required in and out of state.

Nature Of Work
The Data and Systems Support Analyst is responsible for developing and/or maintaining the suite of data reports and analytics of the Alumni Association. This position will assist in fulfilling internal and external data requests and will provide support for data infrastructure applications and end users.
Responsibilities
Program Management
- Design, create, and maintain data reports, visualizations, and analytics
- Write and maintain complex SQL queries to support business reporting, operational workflows, and ad hoc requests
- Process data requests utilizing data from multiple sources, including the Alumni Association constituent database
- Review, analyze, and evaluate hardware/software systems and user needs to provide recommendations and solutions parallel to overall business strategies
- Provide in-house expertise and technical support to end users on database, software and desktop related issues:
- Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems, working with outside vendors/technical support as needed, and documents, tracks and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Train staff on the use of the Alumni Association's standard software applications/databases, as needed
- Collaborate with the OSU Foundation and OSU Information Technology to remain informed on software projects, updates, upgrades and additional services
- Maintain goals and objectives by providing data and analytics for information services supporting alumni association programs
- Provide excellent customer service to all constituents requesting queries and IT support
- Facilitate the effectiveness of Information Services team
Education
Bachelor's degree is required in Management Information Systems or Computer Science
Experience

Skills
- Experience building reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
- SQL database experience and programming experience in Python or equivalent.
- Experience using a production environment and automating programs
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common hardware/software issues
- Analytical skills to evaluate current systems

- Position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Position needs to be able to transport parcels, packages and other items short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up material
- Position frequently communicates with staff, and must be able to exchange accurate information
- Frequently move items weighing up to 50 pounds
