Position Summary:
The Director of Golf Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing relationships with key clients, and overseeing the development and execution of all golf sales and marketing strategies for The Sea Pines Resort. This role requires an individual with a strong background in golf sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for providing extraordinary experiences to guests. The Director will work closely with the golf operations team, marketing, and resort management to create and implement sales strategies that promote the resort’s golf offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute the overall golf sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue goals and targets for the resort’s golf offerings.
- Create and implement targeted campaigns to attract corporate groups, tournaments, leisure group golf outings, and other key client segments.
- Collaborate with the resort’s marketing department to ensure effective promotional materials and digital campaigns for golf sales.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing golf clients, including corporate partners, event planners, and high-profile golfers.
- Develop new business opportunities and generate new client leads through networking, referrals, and industry connections.
- Provide personalized service to key clients and ensure that their experiences at the resort exceed expectations.
- Golf Event and Resort Sales:
- Oversee the sales and coordination of golf outings, tournaments, events, and other sports groups ensuring a seamless experience for clients and guests.
- Work with the golf operations team to ensure the successful execution of events, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Work with other sales managers to secure tee time blocks for coordinated groups
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Participate in regular market analysis to understand trends, pricing, and competitors in the golf and resort industry.
- Use data-driven insights to adjust sales strategies and pricing models to remain competitive.
- Collaboration with Resort Leadership:
- Work closely with the Resort’s executive leadership team to ensure alignment between golf sales strategies and overall resort goals.
- Provide regular updates on sales performance, market conditions, and client feedback to key stakeholders.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Participate in managing the golf sales department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve sales objectives.
- Monitor financial results, pace, reports, and adjust strategies as needed to meet revenue and profitability goals.
- Participate in bi-weekly golf and sales meeting to review overall goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in golf sales, resort sales, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of the golf industry and luxury resort operations.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies and campaigns.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, staff, and resort leadership.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and golf sales tools.
- A passion for the golf industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Ability to travel and conduct site tours as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and promote the resort’s golf offerings.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
