As a Compliance Associate, you will play a key role in supporting regulatory and contractual compliance across the organization. Your work will help ensure adherence to state and federal requirements, enhance operational integrity, and contribute to our mission of advancing equitable access to care.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and dependable Compliance Associate to join our growing team. The Compliance Associate will support a wide range of compliance functions critical to our healthcare and transportation operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate regulatory frameworks with precision and clarity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Accident Reporting and Follow-Up: Manage intake, documentation, and follow-up of vehicle accident reports. Coordinate with insurance carriers, brokers, and third parties, gathering supporting materials such as police reports and witness statements.
  • Issue Escalation Management: Track and assign internal escalations; coordinate investigator follow-ups; draft summary reports and trend analysis; communicate serious issues to relevant parties.
  • Policy and Regulatory Documentation: Assist with organizing and maintaining compliance requirements and internal policies; support version control and drafting updates; manage SharePoint policy library.
  • Regulatory Enrollment Management: Maintain Medicaid/Medicare enrollments and state licensures. Prepare application materials, monitor expirations, and coordinate with operations and finance to support eligibility and billing processes.
  • Compliance Monitoring and Training: Manage exclusion list checks and documentation; oversee annual employee training assignments and tracking; support content updates and onboarding processes.
  • Entity Registration: Ensure timely renewals and registration maintenance in current and prospective states of operation.
  • Implementation Support: Support internal readiness for new contracts, including dashboard setup, documentation, and project coordination.
  • Contract and Database Management: Maintain contract records for clients, vendors, and subcontractors; assist with scoping legal requirements; support contract signature processing and recordkeeping.
  • Research and Support: Assist with day-to-day internal and external compliance-related research and credentialing support as needed.


COMPETENCIES

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance frameworks; prior experience in a regulated industry is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in document management, reporting, and follow-up activities.
  • Organizational Excellence: Proven ability to manage multiple processes and deadlines with care and consistency.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; clear and professional correspondence with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrates strong technical proficiency in a fast-paced remote environment, with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (including, Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint), and the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise. Knowledge of SmartSheets is a plus.
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Able to identify and respond to complex issues thoughtfully and independently.
  • Project Coordination: Ability to manage discrete projects with minimal supervision; experience with timelines, deliverables, and documentation preferred.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working cross-functionally and with external partners to achieve shared goals.

Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in law, business, healthcare or other related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant compliance, legal support, or regulatory experience required.
  • Prior work in healthcare or other highly regulated industry is required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with SharePoint and Smartsheets preferred.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare regulations, compliance requirements, and enrollment processes is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a conscientious, detail-focused work style.
  • Some experience with project management or process coordination preferred.

Compensation And Benefits

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $50,000. If you are hired at SendaRide, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographical location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for this role. Hiring at the maximum would not be typical.
