The Humanities Division at Jefferson Community and Technical has openings to teach Face-to-Face, Hybrid, Online sections of COM 181 (Basic Public Speaking) or COM 252 (Introduction to Interpersonal Communication) at multiple Jefferson Campuses.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach a variety of Communications classes, be able to utilize the College’s Learning Management System, Blackboard Ultra, and be able to teach at satellite campuses (when needed). This position is not remote. It will be primarily at the Downtown Louisville campus.
The primary responsibilities are to teach courses, maintain office hours for mentoring and coaching students, advise undergraduates, participate in committee work and external service, participate and/or plan professional development activities, and seek out educational leadership opportunities whenever possible. The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Communication Studies at the time the appointment will begin.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a Master’s degree in Communication Studies.
Preferred Qualifications
A doctorate in Communication Studies.
