Job Summary

Demand Planner is responsible for managing activities to develop, align, & communicate the demand plan for their respective portfolio. The Demand Planner will contribute to the generation of a statistical demand plan by reviewing the inputs that will overlay it and the alerts that it generates. The final demand plan must balance cross functional input and reflect the latest commercial/customer plans such as promo plans and fast tracks, in order to meet the business objectives. The Demand Planner will be the main contact between the retail marketing, customer engagement & supply chain (including supply and demand synchronization manager and supply network planner) to achieve an aligned/synchronized demand plan and drive continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build Collaborative Demand Plan – Regularly interact with commercial teams (retail marketing, brand marketing, and CPFR/customer engagement) to gather customer plans & other demand inputs. Determine deviations vs. statistical demand plan as well as Sales plans, gain alignment & document key assumptions. Drive the commercial process for their category
  • Review Demand Plan - Validate demand plans, and leverage customer and sales intelligence data in fine-tuning the demand plan. Utilize customer instock, sell thru and tracking signal reports to identify early warning indicators for potential upside-downside demand risks and proactively take steps to mitigate those risks.
  • Measure & Track Performance - Measure, report and drive the forecast accuracy and bias improvement in the consensus demand plan and monthly item-location level forecast for the subcategory.
  • Communicate & Manage Demand – Monitor orders and shipments on a regular basis. Identify/Communicate significant changes to supply network planner, SD&S Manager and CPFRs. Facilitate Fast Track process.
  • Support Synchronization of Supply and Demand Plan - Support the alignment of final demand plan to supply plan. Communicate demand risks/opportunities due to supply chain constraints and work on possible solutions. Set and monitor allocation in the case of supply risk to achieve the demand plan.
  • Support New Product Planning & Life Cycle Planning -Work cross functionally to finalize pipeline volume & first 6 months of demand for new products. Track/measure actual shipments vs. documented key assumptions. Collaborate with a cross functional team (retail marketing, SNP, commercialization team) to manage & communicate SKU performance, rationalization proposals and life cycle changes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, economics, engineering or similar field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain / planning or related fields.
  • Broad understanding of Supply Chain management challenges and how data can help address them.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of integrated business management processes and tools (SAP, APO, IBP, Kinaxis).
  • Domo, Looker Studio, SQL, Appscript and language models

Compensation And Benefits

Salary Range $117,000 - $135,000 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
