Senior Director, Finance

Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants is evolving its business model to sustain industry-leading growth, and we are expanding our Finance team to support strategic, data-driven decision-making. In this critical role, the Senior Director, Finance will be instrumental in driving efficiencies both within the finance function and across the organization, develop new financial reports, and deliver on actionable insights to drive performance. This role will focus on budgeting, forecasting, and evaluation of business performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in KPI reporting, data analytics, and business intelligence tools, with experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry being a plus. This position is based at our Restaurant Support Center in Downers Grove, IL, as a key member of the Finance team.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve company goals
• Advise senior management on financial matters and investment opportunities.
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to assess risks and opportunities.
• Create and manage department and consolidated budgets and forecasts.
• Identify reporting needs and translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide insights that drive business decisions and improve financial performance.
• Oversee and develop a team of six direct reports.
  
  

What You’ll Need:

• Must represent Cooper’s Hawk values
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in finance or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Advanced Excel skills, including experience with complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Experience working with data lakes is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into data-driven insights.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
  
  

Competencies:

• Familiarity with financial forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing best practices.
  
  

Compensation Range: Compensation range is $170,000 - $220,000 plus bonus. The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity.
