Responsibilities

As a Plastics Lead Supervisor/Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our plastics production line. Key responsibilities include

• Overseeing day-to-day production activities to ensure that manufacturing objectives are achieved.
• Supervising and coordinating the activities of the production team.
• Ensuring that all production machinery, including blow machines, are operated safely and efficiently.
• Monitoring the production process, making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Ensuring the proper handling, storage, and disposal of raw materials and waste products.
• Training, mentoring, and developing team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
• Collaborating with other departments to address production issues and implement solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, including health and safety regulations.
• Conducting regular inspections of the production area to identify and address potential issues.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the plastics manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience working with blow machines, production, manufacturing, grinding, material handling, continuous improvement, and quality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure.
• A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to train and mentor team members effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
