With the widespread impact of AI technologies, the growth and diversification of our products, and the proliferation of new and at times fragmented laws and reporting requirements, we face one of the most exciting and challenging moments as a company. The newly formed Risk, Compliance and Integrity organization (RCI) brings together critical compliance, assurance, risk and governance functions across Google to help the company meet compliance needs and enable our businesses to innovate. Our goal is to make compliance an engaged advantage for Google by driving scaled, data-driven, and policy-based compliance programs. We manage our operations through risk-based prioritization and governance and consistent and constructive regulator engagement.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $205,000-$288,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 14 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
- 10 years of experience in a people management, supervision, or team leadership role.
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, business, compliance) or a recognized compliance certification.
- Experience in identifying potential risks and developing innovative solutions to ensure ongoing compliance and mitigate potential issues.
- Experience in bringing structure and clarity to complex and ambiguous situations.
- Experience in influencing decision-making at all levels with the excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, executive management, regulators, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Define and implement AI policies, identifying risk areas, designing policy approaches, and overseeing adoption across product areas.
- Lead the team in analyzing product features, defining structured testing methodologies aligned with Google's safety, neutrality standards, and delivering insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify policy gaps, develop new policies, and create and execute detailed implementation plans, ensuring robust, compliance and risk management programs.
- Lead, motivate, and empower a team of Risk, Compliance, and Integrity program and policy managers, providing direction, fostering talent, building a collaborative culture, and managing performance.
- Advocate AI compliance initiatives within Google and the industry, sharing expertise and building relationships with stakeholders to ensure collaboration and program implementation.
