Survey Technician Crew Chief

Job Summary

Infrastructure Design Group, Inc. (InfrastructureDG) is looking for a full time Survey Technician/Survey Crew Chief to join our Sioux Falls office. InfrastructureDG is a full-service engineering and land surveying firm with offices located in Sioux Falls, Watertown and Mitchell, South Dakota. We offer services to a wide range of clients including private development, landowners, SDDOT, Municipalities as well as other private and governmental agencies.

DURING A TYPICAL DAY

• Perform boundary, topographic and construction surveys.
• Draft survey data into plats, topographic maps and 3D models using AutoCAD Civil3D, Trimble Business Center, and/or MicroStation.
• Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to work independently and with others.
• Will be responsible for the safe operation of survey equipment and company vehicles, including all-terrain vehicles.
  
  

STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

• Two-year technical degree in civil engineering technology or land surveying science technology required.
• Minimum of 2 years survey experience preferred.
• Experience with Trimble Survey equipment preferred.
• A valid driver’s license must be possessed and maintained.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
• Some travel required.
• Some overtime required.
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
