ABOUT LIFEMOVES

Since 1987, LifeMoves has been a dynamic, results-driven organization dedicated to providing interim housing and supportive services to help individuals and families achieve stable housing and long-term self-sufficiency. Last year, LifeMoves successfully returned over 2,000 people to stable housing, achieving an 86% success rate for families and 67% for individuals in its programs. Operating 26 interim housing communities and outreach services from Daly City to San Jose, LifeMoves offers neighbors experiencing homelessness a temporary place to call home. Its intensive, customized case management programs teach and reinforce skills necessary for sustained stability. POSITION PURPOSE

The Encore Fellow Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting the integration of LifeMoves’ Volunteer Management System (VMS). Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships and Community Engagement, this role focuses on analyzing program data, planning

data integration, and ensuring the successful migration of volunteer data into the selected VMS. The Fellow will provide expertise and best practices for data transfer, collaborating closely with the Director, the LifeMoves task team, and the VMS vendor’s implementation team. This role will also support optimizing volunteer recruitment, retention, and program outcomes. This is an Encore fellowship position requiring a commitment of 1,000 hours over one year.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Data Collection and Management:

  • Collaborate with the task team to gather volunteer program data from multiple sources, including databases, spreadsheets, Salesforce records, and existing volunteer management procedures.
  • Participate in VMS vendor meetings, provide input on selecting a system that aligns with LifeMoves’ needs, and recommend data transfer best practices.
  • Lead the task team in transferring and validating volunteer records in the new VMS to ensure data quality and integrity.


Data Analysis

  • Support the Director and VMS vendor team in developing and implementing data migration processes.
  • Perform quality control measures to verify successful data transfer including measurable milestones for success.
  • Create reports and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Director and task team to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success.
  • Assist in planning a pilot program for the new VMS to ensure seamless implementation alongside existing procedures.


Program Optimization

  • Provide data-driven insights to Director and Task team to improve volunteer recruitment and retention strategies and measuring revenue ROI for individual and volunteers’ groups.
  • Contribute to evidence-based policies and practices for program integration.


Collaboration

  • Assist Director when Partnering with program managers, volunteer coordinators, and leadership teams to align data strategies with LifeMoves goals.
  • Assist Director in the presentation of findings during Task Team meetings and progress reports to stakeholders


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in data analysis and program evaluation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with databases and CRM platforms, including Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex data clearly.
  • Passion for nonprofit work and a commitment to the LifeMoves mission.


COMPENSATION : Encore Fellow Program provides a grant of $25,000 for 1000 hours of work for up to one year.
