Rooms Coordinator

The Rooms Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth hotel operations by working closely with the Housekeeping and Front Desk teams. This position is responsible for managing room assignments, maintaining accurate records of guest departures, and ensuring room readiness. The Rooms Coordinator also handles lost and found inquiries, coordinates out-of-order tickets, and serves as a liaison between departments to enhance the overall guest experience. Strong organizational and administrative skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Desk to balance room inventory and ensure room readiness for arrivals.
• Update and manage guest departure information and room statuses in the property management system.
• Handle and track lost and found items, including coordinating with guests and staff to ensure efficient resolution.
• Monitor and coordinate out-of-order room tickets, ensuring prompt communication with maintenance and other relevant departments.
• Act as a point of contact for inter-departmental communication to streamline hotel operations and resolve issues efficiently.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as reporting, updating logs, and maintaining operational records.
• Support the Front Desk and Housekeeping teams during peak periods to ensure seamless service delivery.
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various departments and guests.
• Proficiency in property management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
