We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager with experience in real estate risks. This position is responsible for managing a book of commercial property & casualty insurance accounts, primarily focused on clients in the real estate sector, including property owners, developers, REITs, and property management companies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and service a book of commercial real estate clients including renewals, endorsements, audits, and certificates of insurance.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring prompt and accurate response to inquiries and service needs.
Collaborate with producers to strategize client renewals, coverage enhancements, and account rounding opportunities.
Review insurance policies and endorsements for accuracy and completeness; ensure proper coverage for commercial properties, builder’s risk, habitational risks, vacant land, and mixed-use buildings.
Market new and renewal business to carriers, negotiate coverage terms and pricing, and prepare client proposals.
Handle property schedules, loss runs, risk management materials, and insurance-to-value analysis.
Track and manage timelines for expirations, renewals, and underwriting submissions.
Utilize agency management systems (e.g., EPIC, AMS360, Applied) for documentation, activity logging, and policy processing.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal procedures, and carrier requirements.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management.
Direct experience working with real estate clients or property portfolios is strongly preferred.
Active Property & Casualty license required.
Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g., EPIC, AMS360) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages including Property, GL, Umbrella, Equipment Breakdown, Crime, and Pollution.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with real estate clients such as property managers, real estate investors, landlords, and developers.
Familiarity with lender insurance requirements, certificates for contractors/tenants, and COI tracking.
CISR, CIC, or ARM designation is a plus.
