Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically
- Service and repair evaporative coolers, rooftop package units, self-contained refrigeration systems, etc.
- Work with building principals and supervisors to complete projects.
- Detect and repair leaks in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
- Keep logs of work and report on issues.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC/Refrigeration Technician.
- Proven experience with refrigeration systems.
- Certificate or degree in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- EPA Universal Refrigeration certification.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to handle physical workload including lifting heavy items, climbing ladders, and working in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be available for on-call emergency repairs.
