Maintenance Painter

The Gardens At Aldersgate located in the heart of Topeka Kansas is seeking to hire immediately a Maintenance Painter. This is a part-time position with benefits working no more than 28 hours a week.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Painter most possess advance skills in painting and basic skills in plumbing, electrical and carpentry.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Works closely with and follows directions from the maintenance director/supervisor;
• Maintains building and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly condition;
• Maintains and repairs basic functions of the center as determined by the maintenance director/supervisor;
• Takes care of the tools and equipment;
• Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, walls, ceilings, electrical equipment, able to carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Educational/Vocational Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of painting.
• This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.
