Zurich North America is currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst OR Sr Business Systems Analyst to join our Chief Data Officer team based out of North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. This role will have a hybrid schedule.
The Business Systems Analyst will work with the claims business and Chief Data Office, providing solutions for business systems needs and will understand business objectives, processes, and products as well as the business systems capabilities to formulate, define, document, and implement systems scope and objectives to develop and provides solutions.
In addition, as a key member of the Chief Data Officer team, the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for profiling, analyzing and documenting the technical requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
Business Systems Analyst:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 5 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area AND
- Process reengineering, e.g. LEAN/Six Sigma, Continuous improvement methodologies
- Process modeling tools
- Business Systems Integration
Sr Business Systems Analyst:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area AND
- Experience with process modeling tools.
- Insurance application system design/analysis experience.
- Experience with use case development.
- Advanced business systems analysis skills – gathering and documenting requirements.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and translate technical speak to business leads/stakeholders.
- Commercial insurance background, preferably with claims
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Good SQL and data analysis skills.
- Generative AI or big data project experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Insurance industry experience.
