Job Overview – Medical Assistant:

Compensation: $23/hour

Location: East Brunswick, NJ

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Our healthcare client is hiring a Medical Assistant in East Brunswick, NJ, for a temporary position supporting patient care and daily clinic operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in patient intake, exam preparation, and clinical workflow coordination. You’ll assist providers during exams, manage daily operations, and ensure compliance with medical protocols in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities as the Medical Assistant:

• Patient Intake & Support: Greet patients, verify medical history, and prepare them for examinations.
• Clinical Assistance: Assist healthcare providers during exams, perform basic lab tests, collect and prepare specimens, and handle prescriptions.
• Medical Documentation: Record patient vitals, examination details, treatments, and test results in medical records.
• Equipment & Inventory Management: Maintain medical instruments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Patient Education: Provide medication instructions, answer patient inquiries, and support ongoing care guidance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Follow proper sterilization, waste disposal, and confidentiality protocols to uphold patient safety and privacy.

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:

• Education: Completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
• Certification: CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with NextGen or other electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Skills: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and patient care focus.
