About The Role
CME is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator with seven+ years’ experience in the construction industry. This highly motivated
team member will contribute to a growing organization by providing exceptional customer service and maintain accurate and
dependable job management. Excelling writing, organization and computer skills are required. A successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced office environment. The Senior Construction Estimator position is accountable for preparing detailed estimates and proposals for hard bid and negotiated projects ranging from ($500K to $30MM) across multiple markets, and may include conceptual, schematic, design development as well as construction document estimates.
Responsibilities
Minimum Education | Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA) from a four-year college or university majoring in construction management
Minimum Work Experience | 7+ years of commercial construction management
Estimating | 7+ years

The Senior Construction Estimator position is accountable for preparing detailed estimates and proposals for hard bid and negotiated projects ranging from ($500K to $30MM) across multiple markets, and may include conceptual, schematic, design development as well as construction document estimates.
Responsibilities
- Read, fully understand, and interpret drawings, scopes of work, and CME self-performed CSI Divisions 0,1,2,3,4, 5,6,7,8, 9,10,11,12,13,14,21,22,23,26,27,28,31,32,33. Comprehensive understanding of the remaining CSI Divisions.
- Digital quantity take-offs using On-screen software.
- Insert and price construction projects using Sage Estimating software.
- Maintain Procore software for subcontractor solicitation, vendor contact information, and meeting minutes.
- Vendor solicitation for up-to-date material pricing.
- Vendor bid invitations through Procore software.
- Confirm bid day coverage with subcontractors and vendors via phone calls and emails.
- Attend pre-bid meetings as required.
- Visit job sites to become more familiar with the construction process.
- Consult and build relationships with clients, architects, and sub-contractors.
- Use MS Excel for sub-contractor bid comparisons and bid day summary sheets.
- Detailed scopes of work for negotiated & design build projects.
- Develop and maintain a program strategy for the pre-construction course of action to ensure the pre-construction process remains on schedule, within budget and suggest cost-saving alternatives for design concepts.
- Strategic planner and problem solver able to successfully integrate multiple project components to minimize conflicts and discrepancies, ensuring exceptional results, procurement strategy and to resolve construction issues in early stages.
- Review completed projects to identify real time production rates and adjust company cost data.
