This key role will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of safety training programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety and training programs for all employees, including CDL instruction, DOT compliance, and driver safety training.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate and lead safety training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stay updated on changes in safety regulations and industry practices.
- Manage and resolve any safety-related issues that arise, acting as the primary point of contact for all safety inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategic safety goals and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve program effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of safety within the organization through continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety and training roles, preferably within the education industry.
- Must hold a valid CDL and have certified experience as a CDL instructor.
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, including DOT regulations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing safety training programs.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively deliver training programs and presentations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
