Inspire Connections Academy is authorized under state law by the Idaho Charter School Commission and governed by an independent Board of Directors. The school is operated by Inspire Academics, Inc., a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Education, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. Inspire Connections Academy has met the criteria for educational quality established by Cognia Global Commission. It is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Associates of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. Inspire Connections Academy participates in the PERSI retirement system.

The 504 Coordinator implements each 504 Plan, monitors the overall effectiveness of student plans, and ensures all are implemented within federal, state, and local regulations.

Position Summary And Responsibilities
Working from their home office in Idaho or the Boise office, the 504 Coordinator is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and approving the development of 504 Plans. The 504 Coordinator implements each 504 Plan, monitors the overall effectiveness of student plans, and ensures all are implemented within federal, state, and local regulations.
The 504 Coordinator will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:
- Schedule and facilitate 504 eligibility meetings for students who have been referred through the Potential Child Find (PCF) process;
- Create an individualized accommodation plan for eligible students;
- Create 504 Progress Monitoring Issue Aware Tickets (internal monitoring tool) for all eligible students;
- Facilitate annual review meetings for current 504 students to update eligibility and/or accommodations for the current school year;
- Review incoming new students with 504 plans and schedule meetings to update plans for our school and the current year.;
- Track compliance status using the 504 Dashboard in Power-Bi;
- Create and send Written Notices when needed for students with truancy issues;
- Conduct manifest determination meetings with the student, caretaker, and administrators when needed;
- Monitor academic progress and success for 504 students. If students are not being successful, meet with teachers, parents, and students to review accommodations and make changes if needed;
- Communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches of students;
- Consult with teachers and coordinate the implementation of specially designed instruction as defined in the 504 regarding students with specific needs and potential learning issues;
- Provide direct services to students, including services delivered through web-conferencing software, as needed;
- Participate in the school’s Student Support Team; help teachers and learning coaches develop and implement program modifications and strategies for all students;
- Maintain the organization and proper implementation of all paperwork, documentation, and procedures for the 504 process;
- Work collaboratively with teachers, school counselors, and other appropriate staff to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through the program based on their 504 plan and that parents/learning coaches have a central point of contact;
- Manage a class of Homeroom Students by monitoring attendance and academics, and completing school year cycle tasks such as Welcome Calls and End-of-Year Be in frequent contact with students and parents regarding academic progress, promotion/graduation, and attendance - especially if a student is off track.
- Assist with administering state testing and coordinate the special adaptations that are required based on the 504; and
- All other duties as assigned.
- Valid Idaho Teaching Endorsement: Preference will be given to applicants with a Degree in Special Education and a valid Idaho Teaching Exceptional Child Generalist (K-12) teaching endorsement.
- Applicants must reside in Idaho to apply: Preference will be given to applicants living in the Treasure Valley
- Strong technology skills (especially with Google Suite, Microsoft Windows, and MS Office programs)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze, develop, implement, and track intervention plans and strategies
- The applicant will need a high degree of flexibility, a track record as a team player, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing, field trips, and state testing events (may require overnight travel)
- Private workspace free from distraction, high-speed internet, and, if applicable, appropriate childcare arrangements for any dependent children that may be in the home during scheduled work hours (8-4 MST)
