Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our Sunflower Butter production facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality while fostering a positive work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of production processes, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the production facility, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement production schedules, workflows, and procedures to meet production targets.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Monitor product quality through regular inspections and testing, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage the plant budget, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
- Optimize resource utilization to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to manufacturing and safety.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive innovation in product development and production processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing management role, preferably in the food or agricultural industry.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality assurance, and safety standards.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a data-driven mindset.
