Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Information Technology Intern.
The Information Technology Intern will work under the supervision of the Director of Technology and Security to support the company's IT operations. This role will provide a hands-on learning experience and exposure to various IT functions including hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity.

The Information Technology Intern will work under the supervision of the Director of Technology and Security to support the company's IT operations. This role will provide a hands-on learning experience and exposure to various IT functions including hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Support and maintain the company's network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Participate in the development and implementation of cybersecurity protocols and policies.
- Provide technical support to staff members via phone, email, or in-person.
- Assist in the procurement and deployment of new technology equipment.
- Document IT procedures and configurations for future reference.
- Conduct research on new IT trends and technologies to recommend improvements to the company's IT systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills with experience in computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with Windows environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
