Graduate Rotation Program – NRG Home
Our Graduate Rotation Program offers recent college graduates the opportunity to develop a range of skills through 2 one-year rotations within different departments of NRG. For the first year, this role will work as a customer experience analyst at Vivint (NRG’s smart home division). In this role, you will use quantitative and qualitative data analysis to understand and explain the reasons why customers buy, keep, renew, or cancel their smart home services.
You will support a wide variety of Customer Experience functions, including surveys, journey mapping, A/B testing, and projecting the impacts of policies. You will be expected to prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders and keep them informed on when you expect each of their requests to be completed. You will have the opportunity to improve your skills in SQL, Data Engineering, Tableau, PowerPoint, and presenting insights to business leaders.
The Graduate Rotation Program is focused on developing the future leaders of our business. The program provides the opportunity to work in two different roles across the business, while benefiting from a wide support network of colleagues, a direct line manager and the Talent Development Team. As a Graduate Rotation Analyst, you will perform the same tasks as our entry level Analysts and have an opportunity to learn the methods, tasks, and objectives each of these groups complete in their day-to-day support of NRG’s operations and business strategy. Graduate Rotational Analyst Responsibilities Include
- Analyze and explain the customer experience of smart home subscribers, including their reasons for buying, keeping, renewing, or cancelling their service.
- Clean and combine data from multiple sources using SQL (Snowflake). Sources will include customer demographics, purchase history, call logs, and survey responses.
- Visualize and explain key customer experience insights using Tableau and PowerPoint
- Design and support statistically valid A/B tests to validate the impacts of proposed process changes
- Analyze and quantify the financial and customer experience impacts of current or proposed policies
- Develop expertise in the smart home industry and the role of smart technology in NRG’s demand response/Virtual Power Plant (VPP) initiatives to stabilize power consumption.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Degree discipline: Business (Marketing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, etc), Computer Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or similar business/data-oriented field
- Must have a 3.3 or higher GPA
- Have received a college degree within 1 year of hiring date in June 2023
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis without sponsorship

- Data visualization experience required (using Tableau, PowerBI, etc)
- Basic understanding of statistics and designing statistically valid tests strongly preferred
- Basic experience explaining data to less-technical audiences via email or presentation strongly preferred
- Open office environment

- This team currently works on a hybrid schedule, employees are expected in-office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
