WASTEWATER COLLECTIONS OPERATOR 1C
Salary Range: $19.83 to $27.45 with 1C Certification or
Salary Range: $20.83 - $28.83 with 1C & CDL License
If candidate does not have a 1C certification upon hire, pay will be based on apprentice job and provided 1 year to obtain 1C license. Apprentice job classification is a Grade 10 ($16.32 - $22.58)
The purpose of this position is to assist with the operation and maintenance of pump stations, sewer mains and CCTV sewer line inspections to ensure uninterrupted flow of sanitary sewer influent to the Wastewater Treatment Plant for processing.

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance/repairs on pump station, sewer mains, and manholes.
- Perform drain and sewer camera inspections; routinely inspect pump stations throughout the City; log results and maintain accurate records.
- Responds to citizen requests involving sewer problems.
- Operates equipment and utilizes a variety of hand and power tools; performs routine maintenance and repairs on equipment; identifies equipment maintenance needs.
- Assist with regular monitoring of systems through reading gauges, graphs, meters and control panels.
- Obtain estimates on materials and maintenance needs; make purchases as required.
- Assist with maintaining City facilities including minor building/fencing repairs and mowing as required.
