About The Role

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven, and relationship-focused Head of International Growth to lead our global expansion efforts. This is a unique opportunity to drive international growth by identifying new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and aligning our international initiatives with our overarching business objectives.

What You'll Do

As our Head of International Growth, you will:

  • Develop & Execute Strategy:
    • Design and implement a comprehensive international expansion strategy that aligns with overall corporate objectives.
    • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities across diverse regions, assessing potential challenges and growth prospects.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth market research to understand regional trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments.
    • Develop actionable insights to adapt and refine our international strategy.
  • Partnership & Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain robust relationships with key global stakeholders, including potential partners, distributors, and clients.
    • Lead negotiations and establish strategic alliances, joint ventures, and distribution agreements.
    • Represent the company at international industry events, trade shows, and business forums.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing international growth team.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, finance, operations) to ensure seamless integration of international initiatives.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and accountability.
  • Financial Oversight & Performance Tracking:
    • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs specific to international markets.
    • Monitor performance metrics, evaluate ROI on international projects, and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding international business development progress.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience:
    • 8-10+ years of business development experience, with a focus on international markets.
    • Proven success in launching and scaling operations in multiple geographies.
    • Experience in negotiating and closing complex international deals.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in market analysis, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
    • Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse international business practices.

The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra’s overall compensation package. In addition to base salary and equity, Forterra offers competitive benefits for full-time employees including:
