Description

Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the Vice President of Human Resources will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management and ensuring alignment between HR initiatives and the company's overall goals. This role requires a forward-thinking individual with a deep understanding of HR best practices, talent management, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities/ Duties:

  • Develop and implement an HR strategy that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and fosters a positive work environment.
  • Partner with senior leadership to anticipate HR needs, set priorities, and establish long-term workforce planning strategies.
  • Lead the full cycle of recruitment and selection processes, ensuring the organization attracts and hires top talent.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of effective onboarding programs to drive employee engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and implement strategies for talent development and succession planning.
  • Promote a positive work culture that values diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
  • Establish and maintain effective employee relations programs, policies, and practices, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, recognition programs, and career development opportunities.
  • Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations related to compensation, benefits, and employee records.
  • Analyze market trends and benchmark compensation levels to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain HR systems to streamline processes and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Identify training and development needs and implement programs to enhance employees' skills and capabilities.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities, mentorship programs, and performance management processes

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Role is heavy in reporting and KPI tracking.

Education/ Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (at least 8 years) in human resources management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing HR strategies that support organizational growth and change.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in HR software applications.

Certifications: 

  • SHRM certified is a plus.

Physical Demands

Sedentary Work – Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
