Your Role And Responsibilities

The Global Strategic Initiatives Analyst will be part of IBM’s Global Strategic Initiatives team supporting business development executives by researching Growth Markets, developing strategy, creating content, building business cases, writing proposals, and structuring and executing strategic transactions globally.

  • Partner with BDEs to originate, validate, structure and drive Strategic Initiatives
  • Develop an understanding of IBM technology and differentiators and contribute to establishing a Global Strategic Initiatives strategy
  • Perform research to develop a unique perspective on relevant markets, potential partners and opportunities
  • Leverage technical expertise to evaluate deal rationale and structure
  • Build financial models to assess and articulate deal rationale, value to IBM and counterparties
  • Work with global cross-functional teams of IBMers to align on technical solutions and value proposition
  • Create content including white papers, presentations and client proposals
  • Assist with execution, monitoring and reporting on Strategic Initiatives
  • Educate senior executives on target markets, new trends and investment opportunities

Preferred Education

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Multiple years’ experience in the tech industry with a Consulting Firm; in a Software, Sales or Data Science role and/or Banking/Finance role required.
  • Solid Analytical background working within sales organizations
  • Background in pre-sales, experiential technical activities such as technology demonstrations and co-creation working sessions that lead to proofs of concept

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Prior experience in Business Development or M&A preferred.
  • A strong comprehension of IBM's extensive product suite
